In 1788 Captain Bligh planted the first apple trees in Australian soil at Adventure Bay, Bruny Island.
As a small but fitting tribute, we matured a small amount of rum in a cask that held apple brandy distilled from our own cider. We have decided to release this dram at natural cask strength. Whilst it packs a punch, it also has an incredible character of stewed apples. As well as truly being one of a kind, only 27 bottles were recovered from the cask, which means there will be fewer than 20 actual bottles available once we have kept some aside for our monthly open nights.
